WHERE ARE YOU FROM?

I am fromTarzana, California and grew up in North Hollywood.

WHERE DO YOU LIVE?

My wife and I just moved to Santa Fe, NM.

DID YOU GO TO SCHOOL?

Yes, Sarah Lawrence College.

WHAT KIND OF CAMERAS DO YOU USE?

Toyo 45AX field camera mostly. I do shoot with an RZ sometimes and carry my grandfather’s Canon F1 with me most of the time.

WHAT LENSES DO YOU USE?

Schneider Krueznach: 110/5.6 Super-Symmar XL, 135/5.6 Apo-Symmar, and a 210/5.6 Super Angulon.

WHAT FILM DO YOU USE?

Kodak negative film: Portra 400NC.

SHOOTING DIGITAL?

Yes, some commissions I have shot using a medium format digital back.

DO YOU USE ASSISTANTS?

I use assistants on assignment but seldom on projects.

DO YOU DO MUCH RETOUCHING?

I try very much to keep things in-camera to avoid post work. This allows for traditional c-prints. Some commissioned work has required the use of digital retouching.
